Alessa Dresel is a versatile and dedicated designer whose career is shaped by a blend of international experience and local engagement. In 2018, she completed her Bachelor's degree at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, which included a semester abroad at Politecnico di Milano in Italy and an internship at LouléDesignLab in Portugal. Since then, she has been working as a graphic and product designer.
Her work in product design focuses on themes of circularity, food culture, and social sustainability, with a strong emphasis on the use of ceramic materials. Alessa Dresel values the connection between places and cultural identity, integrating these aspects into her creative processes. In addition to designing physical products, she is deeply involved in developing concepts and systems aimed at creating sustainable and socially responsible design solutions.
Currently, she is furthering her knowledge and skills in the Master's program "Product Design for Porcelain, Ceramics and Glass" at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. Here, she is expanding her expertise, focusing on the design and development of sustainable products made from ceramics and glass.
